Olympic Motto
On page 77 in our textbook, we learned the Olympic motto -- Citius, Altius, Fortius, which is Latin for "Faster, Higher, Stronger". (The Latin words are comparative adverbs, not adjectives.) The motto was proposed by Pierre de Coubertin in 1894, and the motto was introduced in 1924 at the Olympic Games in Paris.
